Trinity High School

Dear Parents and carers

The half term break is already upon us and the last seven weeks have flown by. It has been a fantastic start to the school in a number of ways. I am delighted that Year 9 have settled in so well. It has been an absolute pleasure to meet them and I have been in to as many lessons as possible. I also know that Mr Jones, Headteacher from Birchensale Middle, has been in and is delighted at the way his ex-students have started life at Trinity. I have also been delighted to welcome a number of Year 12 students from other schools in Redditch and the surrounding area. Again, they have made a fabulous start to life at Trinity.

Open Evening at the end of September was the busiest we have ever had. So busy in fact, that we ran out of parking space! The feedback I have had has been overwhelmingly positive and I hope we will be a popular choice for parents again this coming year.

Results have been published which demonstrate the progress we are making as a school, both in Key Stage 4 and in the Sixth Form. The school has made tremendous strides over the last twelve months and I am looking forward to even greater success in the future. This would of course not be possible without the hard work of the students and their teachers and I’m sure you will join me in thanking and congratulating them all.

When we return after half term Year 11 will be sitting their first set of mock exams, and there are a number of parents evenings, concerts, and other events that we are all looking forward to.

The term started with the new Year 9 students visiting their previous middle schools earlier this term to present assemblies to the current Year 8 at Birchensale, Walkwood and Woodfield.

Thanks to Evelien, Laiba, Alyssa, Safyan, Josh and Abdullah for accompanying me.  Their previous headteachers and staff all said how wonderful their speeches were and are a credit to both Trinity and their respective middle schools.

Finally I hope all the students have a good rest next week. Next half term promises to be another very busy but exciting few weeks in life at Trinity.

With very best wishes

Mr A Ward

Headteacher
