Trinity High School

This Girl Can

19 December 2017

Amongst a competitive application process, Trinity High School has been selected to be the Lead School to host ‘Worcs Girls Can 2018’ campaign in Redditch.

This means on the 19th – 23rd March 2018 Trinity will host a number of schools across Redditch, with the aim of encouraging more girls to take part in sport and activities. This will be an opportunity for students to take part in a number of alternative sports and activit

ies such as Glow in the Dark Fitness.

This is an exciting opportunity for the school and students to be part of a Nationwide Campaign which is funded by the National Lottery and developed by Sport England. There will also be the opportunity to become Student Ambassadors, to help in leading the campaign and

 inspiring others in taking part.

Mr Ward, Headteacher said, “we are very excited about this campaign which is about creating a positive experience of sport and exercise for girls.  There were a number of applications for this and Trinity was judged to have really captured the purpose of the campaign and

therefore chosen to be the lead school in Redditch.  My thanks to our PE Department for their passion and drive to secure this prestigious honour”.

More information about this Campaign and how it will run at Trinity will be released nearer the time.
