Trinity High School

GCSE Results 2018

23 August 2018

Adrian Ward, Headteacher at Trinity High School, congratulates all the students, staff and parents on an outstanding year for Trinity GCSE students. Pass rates at a grade 4 or above in both in English and Maths were again very strong at 72% and 66% respectively. Science results were also excellent with almost 60% of students gaining grades 9-4. The school is immensely proud of the achievements of all its students and the number returning to study in the sixth form promises to be very high, including a number of students from other local schools.  The school is delighted at the number of students attaining the highest grades in a range of subject areas. A significant proportion of students gained 8 or more GCSE passes with grades 9-7, the highest grades possible.

‘I am absolutely delighted that the students at Trinity have performed so brilliantly again this year. This is particularly pleasing in the first year of reformed, more challenging examinations in all subjects. I am also really proud that so many of our students gained a grade 9, the highest grade possible. As a truly comprehensive school which seeks to serve the entire community, it is important to celebrate the success of all our students and it is wonderful that 100% pass rate was recorded in all faculty areas in the school. This year our results at both GCSE and A level demonstrate once again the outstanding education which is provided here at Trinity. These results will ensure that our students have the best opportunities possible as they move onto the next phase of their lives.’
