Trinity High School

05 June 2015

The Trinity High School Year 9 football team won a once in a lifetime opportunity to play on the pitch at Old Trafford, the home of twenty time Premier League champions, Manchester United.

The sixteen students battled their way through the preliminary rounds of the morning tournament only conceding one goal in the process. This meant they were through to the final to be played on the hallowed Manchester turf. Students were kitted out in brand new kit, had a team talk in the Home Dressing Room before walking out through the tunnel to the Champions League anthem. Master of Ceremonies was the voice of Old Trafford, Alan Keegan.

A stunning free kick by Kai put Trinity 1-0 at halftime. Reuben doubled the lead before another from Kai sealed an impressive 3-0 win for Trinity. The players were well supported by an army of travelling family and friends. The students were fantastic ambassadors for the school through their exceptional teamwork, respect and skill levels.
